The setup for this image

This peacock at Currumbin Sanctuary, taken at max zoom on the RX100mk2. Bokeh is hard with this camera so I thought I'd take it as far as I could.
Step 1
Crop. The initial frame was okay in colour, but in deciding to shift to black and white, too much background would have been distracting.
Step 2
Set to B&W, leaving the mix at default
Step 3
Basic panel: Highlights -5, shadows +80, white clipping -35, black clipping -55, clarity +45.
This increased the contrast so the peacock stood out against the background, while keeping the background contrasty in itself.
Step 4
Cyborg eye - increase brightness on the left (to us) eye to balance it with the other.
